Adobe Keynote Speakers Announce Launch of “Molehill” at Flash Game Summit 2011

Thibault Imbert announces the Adobe's 3D API Molehill during the morning keynote speech at the third annual Flash Game Summit in San Francisco

This morning at the third annual Flash Game Summit Adobe announced the launch of their 3D API Molehill. A loud round of applause broke out as the keynote speakers/comedic duo Thibault Imbert (Adobe Product Manager) and Lee Brimelow (Adobe Platform Evangelist) after they explained and showed examples to the audience of what “Molehill” could do for flash games.

Learn more of the technical aspects here from the Unity Technologies Blog.

After some bad-yet-hilarious acting and a debate about how many slides they had left, Imbert made the big announcement that Molehill has been launched and that developers would be able to test it today at the summit.

Beyond Molehill, Imbert and Brimelow announced the Adobe Flash Player Incubator: a previously existing place where game developers can experiment with products flash products Adobe is still in the works with. By allowing testing on such a large scale they want to be able to bring the best product to their customers. What better way than by letting people play with free programs!

They day is still young and there is still lots to learn here at the Flash Game Summit! Check throughout the day for updates!

    • Thanks so much! I’ve been a little slow at posting more content lately because I’m finishing up graduating from University in a few weeks. But I enjoy gaming and sharing what I learn with people. So glad you’ve enjoyed it too!
